Food Systems Innovation in the NWT and Beyond

Consumer interest in and demand for local food is growing.  Learn about the challenges of food sustainability in a rapidly growing world at the next Ledge Talks: The Knowledge Series on June 8, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly building.   Dr. Alison Blay-Palmer, Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University will be speaking on Food Systems Innovation in the NWT and Beyond.  She is the founding Director for the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems.  Her research and teaching combine her passions for sustainable food systems and community viability through civil society engagement and innovative governance.

Ledge Talks: The Knowledge Series is a forum for a wide variety of speakers to present current ideas, science, traditional knowledge, and issues relevant to the Northwest Territories and beyond.  There will be time for questions after the presentation.
