Grow together Brown Bag Lunch - City YK Park/ Somba K’e Park

As part of the GROW together gardening workshop series, the Yellowknife Community Garden Collective and ITI, North Slave Agriculture team are hosting a bi-weekly brown bag lunch event and you are invited! It is happening every second Tuesday throughout the summer and fall.

Share garden tips and ask questions during lunch hour at the City YK Park/ Somba K’e Park.

Bring lunch and a blanket and your gardening questions or tips.

Dates:
June 28: Feeding your plants, hilling potatoes
July 12: Succession Planting
July 26: North of 60 Nutrition right onto the plate
August 9: Picking beans; when to pick, how to pick, what they look like, how to plant and what to do with them when you have too many to eat. 
August 23: Food preservation – how to pickle, jam, dry and freeze food.
September 6: Final harvests and garden rest
