Donation Organizations

Below is a list of some of the organisations that receive donations. If some of your donated produce goes to individuals or families outside of those organizations listed as registered charities then record your donation as 'other' when registering a food donation.
  • Abe Miller Centre YKACL, 4912, 53rd Street, Drop donations weekdays 8:30 am - 4 pm

  • Allison McAteer House (Women's Shelter), Drop donations anytime, Contact Debbie @ 873-8257 to get the address. Clients cook meals using donations received from gardeners for everyone at the shelter. The most useful produce are: Herbs, Potatoes, Lettuce, Carrots. But the shelter will receive any vegetables and herbs.
  • Centre for Northern Families, 5610 50th Avenue, Drop donations weekdays at the front door, or weekends and evenings at the side door by the ramp.
  • Aven Manor, 5710, 50th Street, drop donations at their kitchen between 7am and 5pm. Can handle large quantities.
  • Lynn's Place, 5015 54 Street, Drop donations 24/7. They go in the common kitchen and families take what they use and want to prepare for their families; most appreciated later in the week. The most useful produce are: Potatoes, Carrots, Lettuce, Peas, Green beans

  • Salvation Army, 4925, 45th Street, Drop donations Due to increased public heath precautions, Gardners should make donations Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm if possible. Call Paul 867-920-4679 Ext 226 and he will come down with the cart. On weekends, 9 am to 5 pm use the intercom system - at the front of the building staff will come and get the produce or call 867-920-4679 Ext 226 (Kitchen) All donations received are cooked and used to feed the clients.  Salvation Army employs a red seal chef! Most useful produce is: Anything and everything, if we grow it they will take it.

  • Side Door/Hope's Haven, 5114 52nd St., Drop donations    Can be dropped off 24/7 - Anytime is fine. (867) 766-3272  or (867) 766- 4673. Are used for meals provide to youth that drop in and in food baskets to youth. Most useful produce is: Potatoes, Beets, Lettuce, Carrots
